Vitamin C For Liver Health?

Have you had your vitamin C today?

At the University of Michigan Medical School clear back in 1986, studies showed that even low doses of vitamin C helped fatty buildup in the liver, and large doses actually flushed fats from the liver (Ritter, M. “Study Says Vitamin C Could Cut Liver Damage.” Associated Press, Oct. 11, 1986).

This could prove helpful to people trying to lose weight. We know gall is important in metabolizing fat, and an unhealthy liver is linked to weight gain. It stands to reason that an orange a day may keep the fat away.

Mega doses of vitamin C were reported by Robert F. Cathcart III to eliminate jaundice in under a week and helping patients to feel better in just a few days.

The best medicine is preventive medicine. Making sure you get your Vitamin C may be doing more than you think. And don’t worry about getting too much. There doesn’t seem to be an overdose of Vitamin C.

I know this sounds too simple to be true. But, honestly, was health ever supposed to be so hard?
